In the early 1970s, Gilbert was one of the principal investigators in a major National Science Foundation-funded assessment of the status of natural hazards research in the United States. Subsequently, he established the Natural Hazards Research and Applications Information Center at the University of Colorado. https://hazards.colorado.edu/gilbert-f-white Everyone should watch the following video about Dr. White, floods and about climate change! https://youtu.be/8F0oiXg1Lc4
